When Humans Create Worlds
Asks what kind of creator experience game engines, digital twins, and virtual worlds give their makers.
The person who writes laws
A game maker sets gravity, the rate of time, available actions, and conditions of failure. What appears as natural law inside can be a design choice outside.
This grants a small creator’s viewpoint, yet the world does not arise from nothing. It rests on hardware, energy, code, labor, and inherited symbols.
A twin that reflects a world
A digital twin represents the state of a machine, building, or city through data so alternatives can be tested. The virtual becomes a place where real choices are reflected back.
No model contains everything. People, values, and relations that were never measured may disappear. The more convincing the copy, the more carefully omissions must be named.

Limits of the creator
A maker can set initial conditions without foreseeing every event. Complex systems produce behavior their designers did not anticipate.
Creation is not omnipotence. Building a world means encountering responsibility for consequences beyond the plan.
