Case overview
On 7 July 2010, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport temporarily suspended operations and diverted flights after an unidentified aerial object was reported. The closure is supported by state-media and aviation statements. However, long-exposure photographs and videos circulated as evidence came from mixed locations and times, and local investigators attributed some imagery to aircraft trails. The verified operational disruption must be separated from viral images.
