01 · OVERVIEW
Case overview
On 29 January 1952, separate B-29 crews on Korean War night missions reported orange or bluish spherical lights pacing their aircraft near Wonsan and Sunchon. Project Blue Book cards and Far East Air Forces material preserve the reports. Enemy aircraft or antiaircraft devices, celestial objects, flares and electrical luminosity have all been considered, but the public record does not establish an identity.

A U.S. Air Force record photograph of 19th Bomb Group B-29s over Korea; it is not identified as the specific sighting aircraft.
